Marion County: Imagine having 50 venomous copperheads call your backyard home. At 9:00 each night, on a farm in Marion County, that is just what's happening. Interestingly enough, they disappear by ten.
Researchers at Arkansas State University are trying to figure out what's causing the snakes to act so strangely. Their plan is to implant transmitters into captured snakes to study their habits.
The copperhead is one of six venomous snakes found in the state of Arkansas.
