Dont do that!!!!!! just release the snake... or try feeding it in a deli cup.. with worms and slugs.. or red back salamanders.. and depends on what type of ringneck it is.. if the ringneck is northern or southern it want.. But if the brown is just not eating let it go.. if it was dying and on its side I would say go ahead and feed it to the ring...

From what I read... blackbear caught the brown snake...

And from what I know, there are no ringneck snakes in the brown snake's range across the U.S. that will eat brown snakes.

Well I found a 13 inch northern ringneck that was eating a smaller brown about 6 inches under a piece of tin..

I would have a really hard time believing that without pictures or something of that nature.

I've kept plenty of northern ringneck snakes with brown snakes of smaller sizes, similar sizes. I had a 23" northern ringneck a few years back that took 1 17" common garter snake every week, and it wouldn't touch brown snakes. I had a 11" northern ringneck snake last year that ate neonate shorthead garter snakes but wouldn't touch neonate brown snakes.

I've had brown snakes live with northern ringneck snakes. I've never even had a feeding accident happen.
