How about the old... my friend's uncle was killed by one of them there poisonous ball pythons... It struck him with its fangs and then swallowed him whole! It was 50 feet long.

Those types of myths are so prevalent, lets all be honest here... how many people have used that just once on someone that irritated you in some fashion.

I'll admit it, when my parents asked how I could bring a constrictor into the house with my children and think they were safe. I answered their question on "how big will it get?" with a emailed picture of Bob Clark's Fluffy (yes I left the copyright information on it). I eventually admitted the truth, somewhat later.

My favorite ball python myth is:

"as long as we don't sell our hatchling morphs for less then the price we are asking, then the market will never crash or correct to realistic prices!"

Just a little lurking humor!!!!! As an observer I just get a kick out of the big guys fighting over what some else is selling THEIR animals for. A true market exsists when people pay actually money( or trade ( real trade not a traded my 50K morph for their 50K morph)).

That being said I hope albinos and clowns hold thier prices because those are the het's I own.

mine are they will eat gerbils, white mice, black mice, prekilled, frozen then thawed, live or stunned the only time one of my snakes refused a meal was during a shed

i post stuff and its there then ill check later and its gone... and i havent abused it....ahhh ferget it

THATS THE BEST ONE I THINK AND THAT THE BLACK EYED LUCY IS THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER BALL PYTHON MUTATION....THATS THE BEST MYTH

My mom trying to talk me out of getting a ball python because she thinks it "so dangerous" and that it could kill me in my sleep. Like a ball python is more dangerous than my dog (shar-pei mix) in all reality. But the dog she is totally ok with. Funny how some people are about snakes!
