inthedeep2 Jul 28, 2005 02:05 PM

hello all.
just a couple questions for you all. i just bought a 12'' mexican black this past weekend its a male and was woundering how big or old he needs to be to become sexually active. also was thinking about getting a female here soon, same question as above when would they be ready to breed.. also would they need to be in seperate cages or could they be in the same one?
is there any other type of king i could breed him with or should i keep the blood mexican black?
thanks for any help..

Aren't they gorgeous? Have a young male, hoping to get a female to pair him soon.

All the info I have found on them states that they should be 34-36 inches before breeding. Haven't measured the one we have, bought him as a yearling earlier this year and I would guess he is about 24" although I have been known to be completely off when estimating :P
