I have been busy working on these guys lol im getting so many requests for morphs i need to work faster!
Welcome to the Hunters Guide...
Here you will find all the details you will need to seek out the True Reduced Patterns
Q. What is a True Reduced Pattern?
GENETICS:
Dominant or Unproven - Some lines are Dominant at this time (no super form). Ralph Davis and Corey Woods are 2 proven lines I can remember at this time. ( if there is a line I missed shoot me an email) We will also have a line proven out in 06. There still needs to be a lot of breeding with these guys to see if a super may pop up and what else can be done with them.. Some animals are just inheritable, meaning line breeding is the way you get nicer animals (most animals with the traits below should prove genetic though)
Answer...
This is another one of those "hard" guides since some of the information is a little cloudy with these guys, there needs to be more breeding done with them to see what they can do. TRP or True Reduced Pattern are the animals with the traits listed below that most often turn out to be genetic. GRP or Genetic Reduced Patterns are animals that have been proven genetic already. There are a bunch of Banded/ Reduced Pattern animals out there that do not have these all of these traits, that are very nice, and may turn out to be genetic. But most of the time if you want an animal that has the highest possibility to be genetic and not inheritable, then I would stick to the traits below.
1. Like the Het Ivory, the belly on TRPs seems to be the most important thing. You can just look at the stomach of a TRP and see the difference from a normal. So here it is in detail. First notice the clear belly scales. Second you will see off to the sides of the stomach, the scales are also clear but with a yellow color to them as shown with the PURPLE circles. Another thing you will notice is that the only mark showing on the stomach is the Black banding that starts on the back shown with the BLUE circles and arrows. The last trait of the TRP from the bottom or side view is the yellow coloration on the lower sides of the animal. This color is usually between the black banding shown with the GREEN arrow. This animal is a TRP and is unproven at this time.

2. Here is a fantastic example of the stomach of a TRP. Once again you can see the yellow coloration of the side stomach scales shown in PURPLE. The Black banding that touches the belly is shown in BLUE. This animal is a TRP

3. Here is a top view of a GRP or Genetic Reduced Pattern, this animal is a Ralph Davis Line. Another key trait I have noticed is a faded head as shown with the GREEN arrow. Also TRP and GRP have no "Alien Head" markings and have a Banded or Banded aberrant Pattern as shown with the BLUE arrows. This is where the animals get their name from. They have less pattern so termed "REDUCED PATTERN" or "BANDED" Sometimes you will see animals with spots on their sides. This is a GRP from a proven line.

4. This is a top view of a TRP and has not been proven genetic yet. Notice the similarities between her and the Proven line above. Once again The faded head is shown in GREEN and the "REDUCED PATTERN" or Banding is shown with the BLUE arrows. Another trait I have noticed with the TRP and the GRP is that most of them have a Bronze color to them.

5. This snake is the top view of the first picture on the page. You can see the bronze color well on this one. Also the yellow lower sides shows in the PURPLE circles. The faded head is shown with the GREEN arrow.

Variations and Examples:
Variation 1- This is in my opinion a fantastic TRP. It has amazing color and great banding. This is the top view of the second stomach picture on this page. Last time... You can see the banding and the bronze color with the BLUE arrows and the faded head with the GREEN arrow.

Variation 2- This one is a no brainier and has one of the best stomachs I have seen on a TRP.

Variation 3- Here are 2 very nice Genetic Reduced Patterns, from the Ralph Davis Line.

There are many more variations to the True Reduced Patterns and the Genetic Reduced Patterns, but they follow the same rules.
1. Clear Stomach with the only markings showing are the black bands that start on the back
2. Yellow lower sides that wraps around onto the stomach.
3. Faded Head
4. The "Reduced Pattern" and the bronze color (not all animals have the bronze color but most do)
Hope this helps
