hi all - i bought some orchid soil...is all natural, but contains some pumice. Is that ok? I have the soil and mixed it 50/50 with coco fiber and was planning to cover it with plants and moss.

just wanted to make sure the pumice would not bother the lil guys.

thanks!

Pumice can be annoying if you have a waterway, as it will tend to float and stick to the frogs.

I do use it in the drainage layers however, as I am from an area with a lot of volcanic cinder cones and can collect pumice in gravel sized chunks. It's abrasive, so I've never used it where the frogs are exposed to it. You could always put a thin layer of oak leaves or something like cocoanut fiber on top though, as it's otherwise a great soil additive for aeraton and doesn't deteriorate.
