How old/big should a leo be before you offer a pinky?

1 male HY(Winky), 1 Tang female(Sunshine), and 1 Tremper Albino(Serenity)

Well, as a rough guide, the pinky should be no bigger than the width of the leos head. Be careful when you feed them, as my AFTs are addicted!

I would wait till they are full grown to offer pinks. Pinks are big prey items and I think it would be safe to only offer them to leos that are 7-8 inches or bigger.

Yea. That is can understand. I cant wait until the girls are out of quaratine so I can put them in a 20 gal tank together. I havent been this excited for a while. I still have about 2 months to go though. I want them to gain some more weight too. They really havent ate yet, but Im giving them time. DO the leos digest the bones of the pinkys too, man that seems nasty to give them especailly since my boyfriend has a pet rat (She is very cute too). I dont think I will find them pinkys until I get ready to breed them.

Pinks' skeletons haven't ocelated yet so it is more like the calcium is forming the bones when mice are in the pink stage. That is why they are a great source of calcium. The unformed skeleton is also the reason why pinks are so delicate......they are all tissue.
