Gotta question for ya.....

Last fall I had a sonoran gopher try to sneak into my mouse room. It was estimated that he was a yearling with being about 25 or 28 inches and about as round as an average index finger. Well, he sure has grown is less than a year with now being about 45 inches long or more and as round as a 50 cent piece or silver dollar. How big is this sucker going to get?

I was also wondering if gophers need a UV light to remain healthy? I know night snakes like my desert king doesn't but this gopher sure seems to enjoy cruising during the day.

Thanks for any replies.

Hey there!

Your gopher may either stop around the current length or perhaps grow some more. They can vary with length...my biggest gopher is my adult albino Sonoran gopher, being at appr. 5 feet.

I don't think you need to use the UV light.

Take care!
