Hello,

I have a juvenile URO that has a very hard area in his stomach and from the shape of it seems to be his intestine. Is there any kind of stool softener that I can give him from the rear?

First, you should join us over on the uromstyx forum, there are many experienced people there to talk with. I myself have 2 uros, but have never dealt with waht your talking about.

I believe on the forum others may have seen that.

When lizards are a bit constipated a couple drops of mineral oil can be given , to help soften things up.
Most of the time, you should make sure your temps are high enough and he's getting enough veggies, that helps him stay healthy and aids in him having a healthy bowel movemnet.

Sometimes feeling hard lumps like that can be he is impacted, but could also be something else serious.

Just don't know over the computer what it is, but being a young uro, I would have to advise you to call your vet and at least ask , and probably have him seen.

Not sure, but I don't think your uro would sit still for that. By you description it sounds like impaction though. Try feeding some greens with a little mineral oil (salad dressing ) on it. Then give it a couple days. If that doeasn't work I think a vet visit is in order.

is it off to one side of in the middle area? you could be fealling an organ, i know whaen i first got my uro i though he was impacted but it was just tube shaped organ i believe its on the left side but not sure. has you Uto used teh bathroom latly?
