Sikorae Eggs

Ptindy Jul 29, 2005 08:08 AM

Well two days ago I found my female on the floor in the morning and later that day I found two fertile looking eggs, rolled, covered, and perfect looking. How do you suggest I incubate them? They are my first uroplatus eggs and I'm am pretty excited, may have to put my life on hold till they hatch haha, if they hatch I guess. Thought my female phant should be laying soon and she has deflated in size, but I can't find anything!! Anyone ever found a baby in their viv or will they eat the poor little thing? Thanks.

Mike

I keep my eggs in between 68-78 degrees (room temp varies daily). I place them in a container with perlite, if the perlite leaves wet marks on your hand or drips when squeezed, its too wet. I then place a moistened paper towel over the eggs and let them go on their own.

Then the wait begins. Expect them to hatch in October.

Thanks for the information Jason. I am trying a method passed on to me by Neil Meister, hopefully they are fertile. And October is so far away!!

I have found phantasticus babies in the tank. The adults hadn't bothered it before I took it out.
