Crickets s superworms

xelabou Jul 29, 2005 12:41 PM

I think that SuperW would win a bug-to-bug wrestle agaist Crix The Crik.

Someday, troops of superworms spend the night digging a hole in styrofoam glass.
They didnt managed to escape because they dig underneat the container. Strong but stupid.

Crix the Crik would beat SuperW in both jump and race challenge.

Seriously.

When its time to compare crix eaten vs supers, how much did collards can eat in a day ?

I mean, I can buy 100 supers for 11 can$ and 100 crickets for 10 can$.

Is it true to say that collards would eat less supers in number than crix ?

Thanks for any quick comparison.

Hi,
I raise crickets and mealworms. And so far it seems to be cheaper then buying them. crickets reproduce and grow quikly as long as you don't mind the noise. They both require a little amount of time.

Thats very expensive Alex, geesh here ya get 1000 crix for about 16.95 and 1000 supers for 19.00

I believe the collareds do not have to eat as many supers for sure, they are bigger and more filling. Although my KONG can sit and eat 6 in a row!

Most of my guys eat about 3 - 5 crickets and some will take a super too. Some do not touch superworms, but most love them.

I have started to breed crickets on a LARGE scale as what I was doing was not enough and I would have to also buy.

I just ordered 4 thousand crickets and 1000 supers, and 1000 of the crickets are breeders the rest YEP you guessed FEEDERS !

CadBerry , likes Superworms BEST !

They tend to eat less of them then crix. My littlest one just gets to eat the freshly molted supers because he still can't pop the others. All of them prefer grasshoppers but make sure the bugs aren't eating pesticides in your yard.

Thanks all for your inputs. Dean, nikki, Eve.

As I can see, I've got stole by my petshop many many times.

Calculating it on a long period, I would realize that I've paid crickets much more than my critter.
That could be an argument for my petshop guy to find me a male collared here in Québec but I think he's not smart enough.

I'll consider buying them in large lots instead.
I think that 500 crix is 25$...

As I can't stand the crix's singing, I might go 500 Supers ..

Hello,
At a retile expo I heard that mealworms are more fatty than crickets.

Good luck,
Morgan
