Beautifull helleri

kungfuluke Jul 29, 2005 02:12 PM

Sorry no pic yet, try soon, having a spot of trouble. But, a few of my friends and I found a four foot helleri, that looked like it had just shed, near pearblossom. It was on the road, we interupted it's next k-rat meal. I love the facial pattern on these snakes, doesn't feel to good when the kiss you though

Near Pearblossom huh? Im guessing out near the hills. I find them out on the west side on Lancaster. Mostly mojaves out there, which I think are more beautiful, but finding a large helleri this year was definatly the highlight of the year. We are lucky to have such beautiful snakes in our own backyard!

Here is the one we found, just saved it from a car (nearly got hit myself) on June 1st
