Another case of mistaken identity

Just got back from the lake.My brother and I had a few mud turtles in a bucket and released them back where we found them. This guy came up to us and said,"Whats'them?Snappers?".We replied,"No,mud turtles."So than he went on to mention that,"Well I caught me a snapping turtle.I took care of him. There it is by your foot."I looked down nearly expecting to see a big alligator snapper try to take a bite out of my leg but instead there was a little mud turtle with it's severed head laying next to it.

OOOhhh that's soooo sad!! Even if it had been a snapping turtle, what cause was there to kill it?

Ignorance is NOT bliss!
