i'm thinking of purchasing my first corn snake and need help. what is the difference between an albino, candycane, and amenalistic corn snake?
Amelanistic means simply 'lacking black pigment'. Same as albino. A candy cane is a line bred trait caused by breeding high white snakes to each other to produce an Amelanistic corn with a candy cane look (red and white). Also there are orange and white candy canes.
But basically they are ALL Amelanistic.
