HELD MY FIRST SNAKE TODAY!!

Gpoop Jul 29, 2005 07:33 PM

I was mowing the my lawn today and all of the sudden underneathe the mower a gardner snake slithered out which had a gash fro the mower. Since it was very much alive,I felt bad but looked at it as an opportunity to hold a snake before I buy one! It was awesome!! The way it lighly gripped my hand as it moved about. I can't wait to get a Irian Jaya Carpet Python!!

I live along a river...whenever I mow, I have to look out for northern water snakes...the one you saw is actually a "garter" snake...like a garter belt Check out as many snakes as you can before getting one...And Good Luck!!

And i might i suggest keeping this one out of the yard at least away from the mower and the family dog. Good luck. This is my male coastal, Hes the best snake ive ever own. Carpets are an excellent beginner snake.
