I usually give Darwin a bath 2x/day and he will usually poop (makes cleanup a breeze!). So after tonight's soak I went to dump the tub and I saw all of these tiny white objects mixed in! I was thinking: parasites? what the heck could this be? I looked closer and finally recognized them as silkwaorm eggs! I fed him an unmated female and since they emerge from the cocoon with a belly full of infertile eggs Darwin passed them all right through! LOL! Sure says something about the toughness of those little eggs, huh??

they didn't hatch INSIDE...all female moths emrge from their cocoons with a few hundred INFERTILE eggs. When he ate her he got her eggs and they just passed thru him.
