Can my leo eat the......

beetles that mealworms turn into? I got a shipment of mealies and waxworms today and there was a beetle or two in the mealworms. Could my girl eat this? I threw it out, but I'm still curious anyway

I don't see why not....but the shell is hard to digest and for that reason I don't feed the beetles to my leos.

a few of my leos have eaten them, no ill effects, but they didn't seem to care, and i doubt that the beetles are very nutritious. bearded dragons seem to LOVE them, they would go crazy if i put some in with them.
