BLACK MILKSNAKE (GAIGAE) BREEDERS?

Stevemaa Jul 30, 2005 11:26 AM

Hi everyone. I'm interested in getting a pair of Black Milks this year and am looking for some reputable breeders. VPI was my first choice but their website seems to be down, does anyone have a direct number to their facility or any other breeders that may be able to help me. Thanks so much for any help.

Hello,
I would also recommend Steve Emerick of Napa Valley Snakes, but his website, www.napavalleysnakes.com, is down too. You could try calling him at 707-257-2068. If you're looking for a pair for future breeding, he should have unrelated pairs (Bell and San Antonio Zoo bloodlines) in September-October. I got mine from him in 2002, and bred them for the first time this year. The 6 eggs should be hatching in October.

I highly recommend John Cherry of Cherryville farms. I purchased an unrelated pair of blacks from him last year and was quite pleased with the quality and service. They are of San Antonio Zoo stock as well.
