Go buy yourself some Reptile Relieve and spray your snake - follow the directions on the bottle. Also pick up some Provent A Mite - clean your cage and accessories real well (especially corners thats where they lay the eggs). Spray everything down with PAM let it air out a bit and replace snake - oh don't use the PAM on the water dish. One application will usually do it - but since you already have the stuff it doesn't hurt to follow up (just in case) in two weeks! You'll also want to PAM any areas that your snake frequents - if you take it out and let it roam around the house - there could be mites and eggs anywhere the snake has been.

I just got over a case of the mites, thanks to a big name breeder that sucks!
Watch for little buggers that look like pieces of pepper, ya know, from a pepper shaker. Watch for soaking. Pick up the hide boxes and give them a real good look.
Hopefully, what you saw was just a random bug.
As far as treatment, here is what I did and I thank Andre at ASF and Robyn at Pro Exotics for talking me down from the ledge.
All of the aspen bedding was tossed, tubs, hides, and bowls bleached. Tubs lined with newspaper. I sprayed the enclosures with one of the common mite killer sprays in a black and gray spray can. I also sprayed the holes that the tubs slide into. A week later, I got that zoo med mite killer that you can squirt directly onto the snakes while repeating the tub and other spray routine.
Changed the water bowl daily (this helped me keep an eye on dead floaters)
I also sprayed the floor around this particular rack and around my other racks to get any mites that were trying to migrate. I got lucky and only 3 snakes had them, but I treated the whole rack and recommend that you do the same.

If it was just one then chances are that you have a random bug - if it's very small and there are several they you may have mite - mites do start out being white.

You could at least say thanks to those who tried to help you instead of just saying other forums are betteror 'higher quality'. Extremely rude!
