Hello,
I noticed that my lizards(mostly the male) would look at the sand and then stick out there tongue and eat white pieces of sand. Is this this okay?

Thanks,
Morgan

If the lizard is healthy, I am fairly sure that it will pass the sand without incident. I have read that this may be indicative of some sort of mineral deficiencies, but I'm not sure. Make sure the lizard has enough calcium in its diet, and don't sweat it unless you see signs of impaction. Two of mine did this a little bit too when I put them back on sand a couple of weeks ago, but they seem fine.
