Well, for the interest of anyone who was following my quest for RETFs recently, I thought I'd provide an update.
I picked up the two young adult RETFs from crystal palace this morning. Norman and Thor.
They're Honduran, with very bright vibrant colours.
Norman was quite active when we put him in, rehydrating himself in the waterfall, then finally going to sleep on a lilly leaf hanging over the water.
Thor however went straight to sleep.
Before he settled too much I tried to coax him to also quickly have a drink, but he wasn't having it, and jumped behind the waterfall in the dark to sleep.
He was a dark green for the first part of the journey home, but lightened up after about 30 minutes.
The humidity has been a bit high in the terrarium (85% next to the waterfall, so I guess a gradient around it), so I've turned the fogger off for now, and I'm leaving the doors open a crack while I'm next to it.
