I'm getting pretty close to finishing setting up my future tokay habitat.
Now i want to get a good substrate. Some people plant the bottom or thier enclosures but i dont think i want to do that, yet.
I was thinking of getting cyprus mulch, holds humidity but isn't small enough for the tokay to decide to try to eat it. But i'm also open to other options. I'll have some pots with Pothos in there and the pothos in theory will hang or be attached to the branches i'm going to have through out the enclosure.

here are the enclosure specs if you care.
The enclosure used to house a Knight Anole, died laying egg, but will soon house a tokay or two. Its a 4'Hx4'Wx2'D structure. It'll be about 3.5'H with the substrates and stuff. Either way... as far as i can tell, quite a proper sized enclosure if not too large. It has 3 computer fans blowing fresh air in from the back (can be switched off), and has a small water fall in one corner to keep the humidity up, and maybe provide a water source, but misiting will still work. Has a RHP for the winter, fluorescent tube (has a UV tube but i know Tokays don't need it), "true color" 75/100 watt bulb (dont know which yet, i'm going to experiment with temperatures a bit). Right now the temp with out anything on is 75 degrees, so with the light on it should be around 90 up close to it and about 80-83 close to the bottom about a foot off of the soon to exist substrate. has a red 50watt nighttime light, or should it be a blue one? for night viewing, but will probably not get too much use until winter to keep the temp up. The front viewing area is made of sliding glass doors. and there is 1/4" hardware cloth separating the lighting/heating stuff so that any creature shouldn't be able to touch the things.
