Ok so I've been wanting a snake for some time now and I'm having trouble choosing between a IRIAN JAYA CARPET PYTHON,a HOGG ISLAND BOA and a RAINBOW BOA. I know owning a snake you're going to get bit at least once but which one is least likly to bite and the best for the beginner out of all of those? Thanks

If you have never kept any snakes before, I would not recommend any of those three to start with. You might be better off with a snake from North America, like a king, a rat, or a bull or gopher. The reason I say that is they are going to cost you less to start with & are arguably a lot easier to get going & maintain long term than the three you listed. Once you have your feet on the ground & have learned what to do & what not to do as far as husbandry goes, then you might start looking into the others.

As far as biting goes, make sure the snake is parasite-free, and move slowly & handle gently.

You shouldn't be afraid of getting bit, snake bites are generally clean compared to other animals and rarely worse then getting a TB test, as far as pain is concerned. I would much rather get bit by a snake then by, say a hamster or pinched by a hermit crab, ouch they are the worst!
