where did the name come from? and why are leam worms so popular for leos seem people used them more then crickets?

We call some Albinos "Tremper albinos" because they come from the bloodline that Ron Tremper developed. People use mealworms more than crickets because they are so much easier to care for. They don't smell, don't escape, and can keep for weeks (unlike crickets which die quickly). Mealworms are easier to keep too, you just need a plastic bin (a lid w/ventilation holes in it) and 2 inches of nutritious bedding and they are fine.

Ron Tremper, is where the name comes from. he "invented" many of the morphs you see on the market today, including Tremper albinos. mealworms, i assume is what you meant, are more popular mainly because they are easier to handle then crickets.

I thought crikets are better as far a healty food goes?

They are supposed to be slightly better for the leos, but not by much (something having to do with calcium/phosphorus ratios?). Mealworms can be harder to digest because of their thick shells, but if you want a healthy staple that is practical then mealworms are way better than crickets.

I don't think you could say he "invented" these morphs. I believe he developed and taylored these mutations. You would be able to invent them without genetic engineering the animal. Sorry I am just being picky.

i used "invented" cos' i couldn't think of a better word.
