Question about poisonous snake lisence/permit

Twntyshooter Jul 31, 2005 12:47 PM

I was wondering what steps you need to take to be able to house poisonous snakes. What exactly do you need to be able to house venomous snakes? Do need a lisence from the individual state you live in. Or could I get one that permits me to house animals in any state I am in. I just dont understand how it works. Also, how do you go about getting a lisence? Who do I contact? About how much are they $ ? Any information anyone has about this would be great. Thanks a lot for all of your help!

You are going to find many city laws against the keeping of hots for good reasons in my opinion as a hot keeper. More and more states are passing laws on the same. There are still many states that have: a permit system, a no permit or a permit but registering in with the county law enforcement, permit or no permit and registering with wildlife, no laws at all in country type setting ( like me ), and or a permit system like Florida. When I say permit, some are actually a license. If you read on down on this forum and the venomous forum, you will see how time goes by that more and more cities/townships and states are acting on restrictions or bans. The only thing that I can tell you on what,if,and where is to check out any state and city law that you are thinking. It would normally be in state statutes, wildlife laws, city codes, etc. A lot of times as exotic listings or dangerous animals. In my own personal checking, it is not always that easy to find or obscure or vague as I have said before on here. Good luck.......
