Has anyone actually made a custom cage out of PVCX?

carl3 Jul 31, 2005 03:00 PM

Seems like everytime I browse this forum, someone is asking about building a cage using PVCX. I am curious if anyone has actually done it and if so, can you share pictures? (or bad experiences)? I searched and read alot of threads in the archives about it and it doesn't seem too difficult for my basic skills/abilities.lol. I was thinking of trying to do it using the 'L' angles and 1/4 PVCX sheets and PVC glue.

i have its pretty costly material 1/4" you dont need any support with this material it could be bonded in several ways one i like best it chemical welding its bond is stronger the the material itself and bonds in seconds the bigger the cage you will need to use 1/2" and your talking about $125-160 an 4x8 sheet
if you e-mail me i can send you an pic of the first one i built for GTPS

Jason,

It is not too difficult for your basic skills. Feel free to e-mail me for some more information. I assume you still have my contact info. Right now I'm busy as heck.
