I think I found out why my beardie has not been eating as well. A couple of weeks ago he shed. It took him almost a week to do so. After that point he has not been eating as well. Today I go downstairs and where I thought it was just a darker spot on his head, he began to shed. He is done shedding under his chin and is still shedding on top of his head. Do you think this could have been the problem. He is eating a little better than he was before. But still not as much as he should be. Maybe about 3-5 wax worms a day as a treat or about 5-6 crickets! Thanks

I really think that the shedding thing might be what is the problem. my beardie didn't eat more than 2 crickets a day for the first 3 weeks i had him. know when he is about the shed he eats NOTHING or very little for up to two weeks and for a while after. he also has about a week between each part sheding i.e. his tail then head then body.

HE is older now so hasn't shed in a few months but he sed just part of his nose and beard and then stoped eating.

It's woring but although i am no expert i think this may also be what is wrong with yours.

please let me know

Kay
