I found a new beardie food/treat

Nicoleo Jul 31, 2005 05:13 PM

I don't know exactly how new this stuff is but I went to the reptile show in Sacramento today and found this what they said was fairly new bearded dragon food or treat depending on how you see it. I personally would mix it with regular veggies like the breeders at the show were doing but its called Nature Zone Bearded Dragon Bites apparently petsmart is starting to carry it and so are some petco's but if you're interested in trying it on a beardie they have a site www.naturezonepet.com they also have bites for other reptiles as well but I thought that I'd let everyone know since I'd never heard of it and I'm sure other people haven't either.

Are those the moist cube things? If so, I was looking at trying some out for a bit of variety. Let me know if your dragons like it.

What you're scared to see
I can see, yeah, wish I couldn't see at all
I can feel- Wish I couldn't feel at all
Hate to see- Wish I couldn't see at all
Hate to feel- Wish I couldn't feel at all
So climb walls,
Thin my blood now
And I crawl, back to bed now

My dragon loves those bites.
I received a container of those when I picked up my dragon in May. I think he has eaten a bit more than half the jar.
I like to serve a large variety of foods, but he always eats the bites when he finds them in his bowl.

Mine seem to like the bites, even my male likes them and thats saying a lot since he doesn't like anything that smells or tastes like fruit. I noticed yesterday when I looked at the site that you can get free samples of the different kinds since I wanted to get some gecko bites for my geckos but I didn't want to spend the money just to find out that they wouldn't eat them so I'd suggest getting a free sample and trying out your beardie on them to see if they like them.

Thanks for the info....I've ordered a sample. I'm sure I can get my juvi's to like them, they'll eat ANYTHING, lol. I doubt Gordo will eat them though. If it's not leafy, fresh fruits or veggies, or moving, he won't touch it...never had any luck getting him to eat pellets, and did I ever try. Maybe since it's moist and fruity, he'll take to them though. We'll see! Thanks again.
