irreversible stunted growth?

Can a snake that has grown very slowly due to poor conditions and poor feeding still grow to an average length??

Last August, I took an 03 cal king off the hands of an extremely irresponsible pet owner. When I acquired it, it was very small and VERY thin. Now that it is in the right conditions, is eating very strongly, and is very healthy, is it likely that it will reach 4 feet? She is currently about 26 inches, has fattened up to a healthy weight, and is shedding once a month(either the 17th or 18th every month like clockwork!)

Will this snake likely reach 4 feet? Bigger? (hopefully!)
Thanks for your help,
Tim

The answer is yes, it may indeed reach average size. I am not sure 4 foot is average. More like 3- 3 1/2 foot for a female.

My good friend is having this same experience right now. He recieved as a gift from our local petshop( the snake was givin to them). It was bone skinny and thought everything was food, signs of good health with a simple lack of food.

Since he recieved it, about 10 days ago, its consumed 20 some odd mice. hahahahahahahahahaha my friend is not taking the low road. The albino Cal king is not filling out very nicely. Good luck with yours. FR

I have done this many times. Good luck FR

Thanks for your help, I'll just feed him plenty and hope for the best.

Thanks,

In my case, the B&W Cal king was a few years old and barely 2 feet. After 4 years of normal food intake (normal meaning not accelerated as compared to my other captives) the same snake is pushing 4ft (it is a male) and is very robust.
