I am setting up a viv that is 36 inches tall. What type og lighting should I use to ensure that plants at the bottom of the viv get enough light?

Some disagree, but I just use regular shop lights and my tanks have too much growth! The light will get down to the bottom of the tank just fine.

Is this a vert?

i would go with power compacts. more light in a smaller package. the higher light plants seem to like it more.
