I was wondering how long does a red ackie have to be (snout to vent)before a male/female will start to breed/lay fertile clutches?
Thanks,
Nathan

IF... Kept in the proper conditions, understand that conditions seem to vary from one persons perspective to anothers.
For example if I were to describe to someone how to keep them, they would come back a year later and say "my one ackie died, the other is still so small, why, I did exactly what you told me to do, the conditions are ideal", in reality if I were to go set them up for the owner and check on them to make sure that they were cared for correctly they would be the result of my husbandry not the owners. In reality keepers alway shortcut, or exchange things with other things, they do whats easier for them so changes occur, part of that problem is that people need to understand why their animal needs or uses something and how it uses it so that they use what is usable, in the end the animals do great. Its more about personal perception than reality when many keepers set them up and care for them. Example, If you and I were staring at the same sunset side by side, I would say "nice sunset", you might say, "Darn my neighbor still hasnt cut his lawn.".
