My first egg is hatching!!!!

Colorfulcorns Aug 01, 2005 07:19 PM

After all the problems my anery female had she laid 20 eggs and only one was good.
It pipped today after incubating for 68 days. So far all I' ve seen is part of it's head.
This is the first egg I've ever hatched!!!!
This is so cool and this little snake is going to be my daughters.
My anery females second clutch of 15 eggs, 10 are good, should hatch in September.
Having an egg hatch makes it all worth while...

I know EXACTLY what you mean. 7 years ago I bred for the first time. An Albino Okeetee with a normal het amel.
Katie laid 12 eggs and only one hatched.
The resulting baby normal wouldnt impress a breeder, but 7 years later she is STILL one of my favorite snakes. To me, shes better than any hypo-butter wondersnake
Her name is Keeper.
