northwestern garters

these babies were found in a field in olympia WA were i am going to place tin by a wood pile to try to find some rubber boas. I have also found northern alligator lizards there.
you can really see the varriation in this species after high school i want to do some work for studying the northwestern garter and its varriability

Thats a good looking garter. I have found some like that in Lacey. You should have some luck with the rubber boas I have found six this year at the same spot in Lacey(my little secret). Try to look under tin and boards on overcast mornings or after rain. During sunny days the tend to be underground.
