i just bought a new ball python about 6 hours ago, theres a few things i would like to know. is it unsafe for the temperature to be under 75 (its not, but im just wondering). the snake is about 18-21 inches in length and its beautiful. is there any way to sex it with out taking it to a reptile vet? i would take it to one, but i seriously doubt we have one. after all i do live in north pole alaska but i havent checked if we have one or not. well anyway, i will try to post some pictures sometime of the snake, which i named oogy boogy, i always think of oogy boogy from the nightmare before christmas when i see a snake. i dont know why. if i would have chosen a corn snake i would have named it beatle juice for the same reason. well thanks for the help if you do help

ball pythons can be "popped" or "probed". this should not be attempted by someone who has not done it. i looked up where you live....it looks like it might be hard to find a snake vet, let alone anything else. you might have to do some digging to find a good vet. i think you are the northern most ball owner i have seen on here. good luck. new morph...eskimo ball....hehe
