Sweet! Congrats, how are you incubating the eggs if you don't mind me asking. Thanks.

congrats. for some reason, 5 out of the 8 satanics i've hatched out all had this dark purple coloration. i just wonder what makes this so dominant in my successful hatchlings (beside the fact that my most recent clutches have been from a dark purple female).

and mike, i dont know if you've asked me what ive used to incubate yet, but recently i've had all my uroplatus eggs on moistened perlite in a simple setup much like you would use for crested gecko eggs. the only difference is i leave my uroplatus eggs about 2/3 exposed, 1/3 buried. i've had decent success this season as well, with exception of 1 from each of my past 2 satanic clutches, one was a seemingly fertile egg with nothing but goo inside and the other had a baby that stopped developing what seemed to be a couple weeks before hatching. could very well have been due to the fact i was living with roommates who would complain about me keeping the place too cold. theres possibility they messed with the temps while i was gone, but i usually do my best to keep it around 72 C.

hope everyones luck continues! although i think my female satanic is finally done for the season after giving me 4 fertile clutches. couldn't ask her for more. but my henks are still going strong! time for the sikorae's and pietschmanni's to kick it into gear, but as jason has mentioned, it's just not the right time of year right now for fertile eggs. getting lots of duds from the satanics though!
