I've been researching the Nostradamus quatrains. No luck yet.

Do you really have no idea in your head about the next 5 years in this market? Maybe you just started in this business....I dont know.
Step 2 of business planning is market projection. Its really basic stuff. Would you like me to email you A step by step for developing a Business Plan.
Nope. I am quite familiar with business plans. Thanks for the generous offer, though.

i feel that in the next 5 yrs will be a huge increase in the amount of people buying the morphs we are breeding. Me personally, I feel that the morphs that have the most general market apeal are the pieds, albino, super pastel's and crosses with pastels, lucy's/ivory's, and crosses with the black balls. Yes that is a very broad market, but it's also very specific. The morphs that are further away from looking like normals will always command higher prices, even as they become common in breeder's collections. Some of the co-doms/dom's and recessives only vary slightly to the pet store buyer who doesn't notice the subtle differences of some of the het versions of alot of the co-doms. I am working so that in 5-6 yrs all my offspring will be either visuals of recessive or the super form of a co-dom. Maybe this isn't a realistic goal considering I'm working with all het's right now but if I can produce 15-30 babies a yr that will be bought by the average hobbyist. In my eyes that's much better than producing 40-60 mixed visuals and hets that i have to market to upcomming breeders. Hey look at it like this, have fun, buy what you can afford, breed what you have and you will have a great time turning a hobby into a great side income. Josh Hutto

1.1 taco dogs (ankle biters)
1.0 grey cat
a BAD dog is MADE not bred, support the American Pit Bull Terrior as the greatest breed of dogs on Earth!!!!!
From a Pit owner, what else would you expect!
My last one died March 28th,1998. Best dog i have ever owned! I had him cremated and put in an earn. That may sound stupid to most but there just isnt any dog that can come close to a pit and until you have one you wont understand it.
Thanks Bro
Actually anyone who says the market is heading up has their head in the sand. The fact is the ball python market has peaked in terms of price. Volume may increase as more animals are moved but they will be at lower prices. Here are some reasons:
1. There are many, many, MANY, more people breeding them than ever before, so there will be that many more available hatchlings for the market to absorb.
2. The people breeding them have large numbers of adult females ready to go, waiting for the next big morph, and males will breed their first year to multiple females.
3. As the market sees the price drop on each new morph a little quicker than the last, people will be a little more hesitant to drop ridiculous money on the latest and greatest. You can say the market has a "memory"
4. Luecistics. Yes, that's right - white snakes. The prices on these babies are going to set the pace for future morphs, and folks, they will drop like a rock! There are too many in the hands of breeders, and too many different ways to make them. WAY TOO MANY breedable "hets" exist for these to hold value very long.
I can go on, but by now the picture should be clear. Buy what you can afford without ever counting on selling babies to recoup your purchase price. Don't buy into the myth that if everyone just holds their prices, the market will be fine. Ask stockholders of Enron how their "investments" are doing....
I feel some of your points to be wrong..Example Dont count on your babies to recoupe your investment?
I spent 1500 last January on a pastel male..Bred him to 3 females..Which gave me 1.7 pastels and 13 normals.By selling the female pastels this year I received more than my inital purchase. And that is only one season..With more potential breeders to produce the price drops..Then more can afford these amazing creatures
