Hey does anyone use GPS systems to record the locations of the animals they find? Needless to say you wouldn't want to post the coordinates for densites of endangered animals, but why not for everything else? Sort of like a scaly version of geo-caching...

If anyone does do this, what equipment do you use?

Thanks.

Ps - the pic is of a neonate Eastern Milk that literally showed up in my office! (no coordinates needed there!)

I use the delorme earthmate hooked up to a laptop. I place icons on the road, with pics and enviromental indicators (TEMP, Time etc). Cost about 100 at best buy with the street atlas software.
