That is a great looking speck. Looks similar to some of the aniamls from hwy 243.
I seem to like snakes...
Good job on those pics...

here you go.
Brendan, you should give up medicine and become a photographer!LOL those are truly artistic shots you have taken and, as always, a pleasure to view. I especially like the tigris on the quartz.

How did those photos you took of that atrox come out? You get them processed yet?
Brendan
Yes I did, Im afraid to post them on this site though, (Im afraid of what you put up as a comparison!)LOL. Seriously though I will upload one and post it. I also passed a cd along to our compadre Mssr. Regal. who has assured its delivery to you. Its got the entire trip on it at high resolution so some shots may look rather nice when magnified.
got any more pics of the tiggers?
Ciao

Here is that atrox we saw and a few tigers from here and there.

AHHHH, just what the doctor ordered, dang I love those things and to see nice shots just makes it worse!LOL Man my camera is bone, I cant seem to get the colors and the macro must have took a [bleep]e when it got knocked some time ago. Well I'll post one anyways so you can see how it looks. Been seeing some outstanding critters but cant wait to get back to AZ, though it looks like I better trailer a boat with me!
Cheers Mate
Brett
I have a pretty good camera, but I end up zooming in with my computer. You pictures look like you are using a very good lens!
Thanks for the pics,
Jake
Thanks Jake......the lens is just a standard sony f-717 lens. I don't use attachment lenses or anything fancy. Just old fashioned camera work and a little patience.
awesome post, having seen a few of those in s.e. arizona i know the thrill. great pics!!!!!/jon

I especially like the coralsnake, and the boa. Question...what's the story on the green rat's right eye, just curious.
I really don't know what wa up with her eye. I think she was in shed mode and maybe had a few retained lense caps from old sheds but I didn't really pay much attention. It was a snake that was found by some people we bummped into while herping and they let me snap some pics quick. It was a nice contrast with the other 2 we saw that weekend that were much smaller animals.
You said "both sets"......I also posted a bunch of tiger rattlesnake photos in the thread for lateralis if you didn't see those.
Brendan
showed signs of damage, already partially healed. I think with all the heavy rain the area has recieved in recent weeks that she was probably caught in a rockslide. This is not at all unusuall and I have found many pyros and triaspis over the years with rockslide injuries. They usually just shed very frequently until the damage is healed.
...& I su-spec-t...you miss-ID'd whats on the quartz Latman...!!!
That tigger in front of the prickly pear is darn near gorgeous...
