my new eastern coach, awesome snake, shy but really not agressive at all. The cage works well so far, he sits with his head slightly out of his hide, as i get closer he retracts but as i move back he'll poke back out, really really cool animal

I know im going to have some good times with this snake and id like to thank those of you who helped me out with my q's

enjoy

haha thanks, no i got this from a guy online, its actually quite shy and pretty far from agressive but he gave me quite a hard time trying to remove him for pics. he pretty much sleeps at night and during the day he sits half way out of his hide with his head up and retreats back in when i approach. Im really happy with him and he is quite intrigueing to watch

haha yeah most likely, just biding his time

actually he did get me today in a feeding response but it wasnt too bad. I was dangleing the mouse in front of his hide which he hit and nocked into the water bowl, under the impression that he's quite timid and shy i decided to put the tongs down and just reach in and pluck the mouse out, well as soon as he saw more movement he showed me that coachwhip speed and nailed me in a short dash out of his hide. I pretty much got bit before i knew what happened, he was out and back in his hide in a blink of the eye. i dried off the mouse and tried again more succesfully as he promptly picked up the mouse and carried it back in his hide. Absolutely awesome snake (:
