Nice snake Shannon....Is it het for albino???????
Here are a couple DH for striped albino Ruthies.....
They have slight aberrancies......Lloyd Lemke strain.
John Lassiter
Yes,They are also het albino. Were do you think justin got his project? The origonal w/c het for aberrant father is still alive also and is still breeding.
Shannon
Cool....
It looked all to familiar.
Great looking snake and good to know you are working with them this year. I saw them on your site and never heard of you producing any.
Great to see you around here too...
NOW Let's see some of the HONDOS you produced this year!!!!!!

To clarify things I purchased the Ruthveni from Randy Limburg, Shannon owned the snakes at the time and owed Randy a debt, he needed to square up on it. I told Randy I'd buy the Striped Ruthveni project from if he could arrange it. Also as terms of the deal I was to get 100% of all the Lemke ruthveni , no holdbacks etc...So I am a little confused to the origin of these animals, I was the 1st to get these guys to produce and prove out the genetics so there arn't many around. Whats the story on these? How did they come to be?
Justin,
I have told you this before. The animals I have now are here on breeding loan because the belong to Matt from Rising Sun Reptiles and he lives right on the beach in San Diego and has trouble producing them. All he got was slugs for three years so I told him I would take them and breed them for him since I was able to cool them up here were I live. When Lemke sold his normal animals to Doug in New Mexico (who is the guy that did all the breeding and made the dbl-hets etc that you bought from me etc.....)he took and sold a few off here and there before selling the bulk off to Rainwater (thats the group that I got and I thought I had the whole thing). The only snake I got rid of in the group was the old w/c male to my friend Aaron.I didn't think it would last all that long cause I knew it was pretty old and the w/c het femle had died long ago in New Mexico but the trait had been proven back in New Mexico from the Het Father to one of the siblings so it was already a proven trait.
Anyways,I gave the old man away and sold off a pair of dbl-het babies (albino x striped)that I had produced before I sold off the project.Well,Aaron took and bred the old man to a albino and got a few good babies from that and sold them to the guy in utah that bought the dbl-hets from me and he has raised them up and last year that guy bred one of the males he got from Aaron to the female dbl-het from me and he got aberrants ,Pretty cool since the male from aaron was only a poss het.
Anyways,There are a few out there but I still am waiting to see the 1 in 16?Justin should be the first to do it since he has the biggest group by far to do it with.
Shannon
Just curious. I have a similar thing going on with an annulata project.
Wayne
Wayne,From What I have seen I wouldn't say it is.It is genetic but more like a spotted annulata. You will for sure get some but its not clear cut like albino x het?I said to Justin I would like to see the 1 in 16 but thats more of a figure of speach?
