Instead of worrying about quick weight gain it is best to just give them healthy foods. Most of the foods they used to claim were best for weight gain actually caused the kidneys to break down plus many other problems! So stick with greens (turnip, dandelion, collard and mustard) and veggies (squash, green beans, etc.) and a little fruit (mango, pear, berries etc.) This way as long as it has been to the vet and is healthy except for size it will gain its weight naturally and stay healthy in the long run! If you are wanting a full list of foods that they should eat there are many web sites you can check out I was just giving the basics!
Hope this helps
Stephanie
