A new Pic of My Something New............

reptilebasics Aug 03, 2005 06:44 AM

I have posted pics of my new project here a couple of times before and thought I would put an updated pic up for you to check out. I will have a couple of these on the table in Daytona for you to see in person. They really are pretty damn cool. I should be able to breed one or both of the males this season to start down the road of proving them out. Anyhow, enjoy and hope to see you in Daytona in a couple of weeks!

Hello, I would like to know more of what you think is going on with those weird boas? I see some things about them, and just want to know what it is you are working toward. Thanks Andy

Here's my 6'+ female, guessing about 20 pounds easy.

The resulting litter would be the stuff dreams are made of...

(pics aren't great, but you get the idea..)

These have a few unique characteristics that seem to be represented to varying degrees in all four animals I am working with. They all have very fine "batwing" saddles, they all have the weird "puzzle piece" tail pattern, they all have some very strange colors going on. The colors change quite a bit from time to time. Much like a Hogg Island boa will. Sometimes they are blue and silver , other times a bright buckskin color. They also all have very black eyes. Too many coincidences in too many animals to be a one time freak. I am hoping I will find out this spring if they are co dom/dom. If not it will take another generation to find out if it is recessive.
