I personally think a 29 would be the minimum for one or two RETFs. I'm a big advocate of the bigger the better as far as enclosures for treefrogs, and most pther herps for that matter. You could probably successfully keep them in an enclosure of that size, butI feel they need as much space as possible for them to truly thrive in captivity. Good Luck.
I agree with jw.
I keep two RETFS in a 30 gallon.
The ficus tree that they mostly sleep in takes up a quater of that,
and a water zone takes up another quater.
The lilly I use to put small crickets on takes up another 1/4.
The last area I use to put a bowl in to check they're eating when I'm worried, and I plan to put some bark in there for a more natural hunting environment ( The crickets tend to hide in the moss and never be seen again, so I think the frogs mostly eat from the bowl ), where the crickets might stay.
Photos attached.
I find both frogs are very active, and I would feel bad if they didn't have room to jump. ( As it is they jump from one side to the other.
Not only that - but I even think that my setup is a bit small, and when I'm more experienced with them I plan to have a much bigger terrarium for them.
Hope this helps
