A friend works in a pet store. She asked my advice but I know more about reptiles so I am asking for your advice. A dumpy came in with sores. She separated it to a tank with paper towels and a water bowl that she changes every day.
He has a small sore on his butt and one in each crease of his back legs. He also has a weeping sore on one of his back legs which is swollen a little. She has been wiping it out and putting a triple antibiotic on it. He hasn't gotten worse, but it hasn't gotten better either. He has gained weight and appears well, bright eyes and color since being separated.
I think if he is soaked in something it will get better but I don't want to suggest the wrong thing since whatever he is soaked in will be absorbed through his skin.
All suggestions are appreciated and welcomed.
