Lovesick male...

FloridaHogs Aug 03, 2005 11:56 AM

My male has gone a hunger strike since I seperated him from the females. He is now going on his 23rd day with no food. Should I be concerned? Should I reunite him with the ladies? I had hoped they would breed, but it seemed they could not get their intreast in sync. He has always been a very good feeder, until now. He seems to generally be "depressed" since moved back into his own enclousure. Has anyone else encountered behavior like this??

Certainly the change in surroundings can elicit a bout of anorexia, but that amount of time is not unusual..
