youngster nit eating veggies

viper824 Aug 03, 2005 01:50 PM

my 7 inch bd for some reason won't eat veggies,thus far i've tried;
collard greens,carrots,squash,a little piece of strawberry(he ate only once)he only eats crickets with reptocal powder,he looks fines and started shedding a few days ago.i noticed at the petshop their is a food stimulator (bannana flavor) for reptiles.should i try that ? maybe try different greens? i read 80% of their diet when young is its prey any suggestions would be great.

Not many young beardies eat greens. Keep offering them and eventually he will get curious. I always feed my veggies before other foods because that way, they will be hungrier for anything and try the greens. Its not anything to worry about when he's only 7 inches.

I made the SaMe thread when i first got my beardie.. after a while he'll just start eating them by him self.. I would be like "EAT THEM!" LOL. i'd try putting some in his mouth.. after a little while he noticed that they were TaStY and he loves them now.. also u can try mixing meal worms on top of the veggies and the will go for a worm and accidently eat a veggie and be like, "nummy!". Just keep trying.. Goodluck!!
