The purist in me disdains it, but frankly the idea of hatching ALL those different types from two snakes is inviting. I personally think that it is pretty cool.Specialization is good, but variety is also. Congrats on a great clutch! Nice colors!

Thanks Fred, I am willing to bet many people who love these morphs and also produce them are also interested in locale specifics.....or understand it's importance. For Pits I really can relate....other snakes like Kings and Corns are a different story as far as my opinion goes. I see a lot of dispute over purity and what is what on other forums and it is really a bummer. I think Pits stand much more of a chance at having a traceable history and the fact that less snake people are into Pits as opposed to the other snakes is a good thing for now. BUT! I also think these morphs may grab non Pit peoples attention, and may inspire them to also consider locale specific projects....so all in all....PITS RULE! Tom Stevens

Very nice. I agree there is a place for locality and morph. A little diversity.

I will be in Daytona again this year. I was in Terry Ds room with Shannon picking up Hondos last year. Remember the Snow that almost got away??? Anyhow if you're going I will look for you, we can have a beer or 9. I am definitely gonna see Shannon and Jason Nelson there, and a bunch of others I only get to see once a year. Hope your season is going well Tom Stevens

Oh yea, I remember! I'll see you in Daytona. Randy

Can you tell the hybinos from normal albinos at this age?

Nokturnel Tom Aug 04, 2005 12:16 PM

I have never produced normal Amels....but I have seen them and see the difference. This pairing is only genetically capapble of producing Hybinos, so it is a given that's what they are.

Here is a pic of a Hybino compaired to Albino
These 2 snakes have the same father , the lower snake in picture is a Hybino that has been line bred . The Albino is on top and is a F1. There is a another bloodline of Albinos Sonorans that is not combatable with these Albinos Pictured . The other bloodline has red blotches and is really nice looking too.

Nice Sonorans , you should have Blizzard to add to the group when your eggs hatch .

Yo Tom!!!
Way to go!!! What an awesome clutch!!! Just for info what would happen if you were to breed one of the Blizzards to an Hybino???? What kind of babies would you expect??
Pat

Nokturnel Tom Aug 04, 2005 02:51 PM

I believe it would yield the same type of clutch. My pair is Hybino X Ghost and I am pretty sure that unless you breed Blizzard to Ghost or 2 of the same morphs that are het for the other traits together you would expect a varied clutch like this in close to even numbers. I think Blizzard to Ghost would yeild in mostly those 2 morphs and very possibly none of the others. Jason did all the work with these....now we have the pleasure of buying the end product and producing these cool clutches without having to "het things out". Pat...please email me from your private account....someone just told me that mail to me was returned as undeliverable. I want to make sure somethin kooky isn't going on. tty soon Tom Stevens

Jason Nelson Aug 04, 2005 07:14 PM

Congrats on the really nice batch of Sonorans Tom
Hey Tom I dont want to take credit for starting this bloodline of Sonorans , someone else did that . I just got in early .

Hi Pat
If you bred a Blizzard to a Hybino you would get Blizzards and Hybinos only .

Thanks guys

Jason

That is so killer looking! I love just all the different morphs out of one clutch. More colors than Vader has great riffs...and that is a lot! LOL!
