Exactly how big are you expecting your ball pythons to get?? Ball Pythons average 3-4 foot depending on male or female. Ball Pythons are excellent species to help people get over their fear of snakes. They rarely bite and aren't really fast-like snakes. They are slower, therefore much easier for the nervous individual to handle. I would personally stick with the ball pythons. Corn snakes and such are ok, but they move really fast, therefore, this is sometimes confused with aggressive. This gets people nervous at times.

It would be my recommendation to stick with the ball pythons.

Good Luck.

Chris

here are a few suggestions
rosy boa 2-3ft
spotted or childrens python 3ft
red milksnake 2-3ft
african house snake 2-3ft
male western hognose 2ft

these are a few choices for smaller easily handled snakes.just make sure you handle the snakes regularly and they will usually be calm as adults.
