Generally, the Blackback is just a cool looking Normal with no genetic trait. However, there are three (3) lines of genetic Blackbacks that produce little Blackback babies -- one is the Joe Compel Blackback (dominant), one is the Het Red Axanthic (codominant), and the other is the beloved funky-headed Clown (simple recessive).
I like the Clowns best!

lots of people have geneic black backs.........they just aren't simple and throw half and half or all baby black backs.....
even I have them...yea,....3 generations..........

I'm sure lots of people have them.
I proved this girl to be genetic in '03 with an identical
baby offspring. In fact, she's due to lay another clutch
for me in about 2 weeks...I'm looking forward to it.
