two more eggs of the season left after tonight...

boy Aug 03, 2005 11:11 PM

my last "giant" phantasticus hatched tonight. the one that hatched last week is about 1/2 the size of this one. Totally cute too. It has a few brown spots on its tail. It hasn't even done its first shed yet. I came home from the grocery store and there it was sitting on the perlite inside of the incubator chamber. YAY!!!!

so as my plans unfoil... I'll have a camera next week. then eve and mike can get off me some about it.

cheers
jason

I checked it a few minutes as I was leaving for work... This is one of my best looking ones too. Purple coloration on its neck and also three big spots on its tail. I'll take a look at it later tonight. I think I know which female it came from.

thats just great. you know ill keep buggin you for pics till you actually get some. i have only 1 pair of satanic eggs left from the season, kinda glad my girl finally cooled off, i was starting to worry about her overbreeding. i've cut down on their feedings a lot since i moved, so hopefully that's gonna help get them out of that phase. of course i wouldnt be too disappointed to find more fertile eggs anyway, especially after all of these infertiles ive been finding from my non-laying females. but it's been one hell of a season for me, and i even want my henks to cool off a bit now, i think i have about a dozen eggs still from my 2 girls, along with those 4 that have already hatched out. hopefully no more problems arise....still debating whether ill be switching over to CB's only with the henks since ill have so many not too long from now. plus the cage i have the adults in is monstrous!!

keep up the good work jason, cant wait to see how those lineatus turn out as well!

...how about we make some deals with those henks making their way to my house for an extended visit... lol. you know while you're at grad school I'll watch them as long as you stay in school for the next decade plus. hehe.

thanks for the good words. It looks like I'll have 3.1 out of those hatchlings satanics and 1.0 ebanaui. hmmm.. now only if that last egg with hatch.

one more ebanaui egg too.

55 animals total and expanding.

53 uroplatus total though. Mostly ebanaui. $0% of my collection is ebanaui. I'm actually looking to find a live/work loft in Emeryville too. I need something that will give me the space to set up atleast another 25 95-quart rubbermaids for all the imports I'm planning on doing.

But you know me, I've got big eyes.

you need to come to california man. you're major could be fully used out here. plus there is UCSF, SF state, UCBerkeley, UCDavis... not to mention I could use you in all the things I've got in motion.
